A highly knowledgeable and experienced engineer and leader with an extensive track record of delivery in the UK Energy infrastructure sector. Neil Adams joins energyARK! Neil takes pride in thinking innovatively and collaborating with others to deliver with impact.

Neil’s career has grown from roots in power system design, commissioning, maintenance and operation to heading up ground-breaking projects such as the £1bn Hinkley C connection in the UK whilst building strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, communities and government.

Regenerative leadership is a core focus for Neil, recently completing a regenerative leadership course in 2023. Regenerative leadership to him means bringing the wisdom of nature to help guide how we “do business”, asserting that we must think and act differently to navigate the environmental and social challenges of the 21st century.

During Neil’s two decades at National Grid in the UK, he has built a wide competence portfolio ranging from technical aspects of power system infrastructure asset management, (attaining TP141 Commissioning Engineer, Senior Authorised Person HV, Commissioning Panel Chair and Project Engineer qualifications) to contract & commercial negotiations with suppliers and government and most recently gained competence in management systems and enterprise risk & assurance.

Neil has conceived, developed and implemented change programmes such as the TP simplification project to shift the culture at National Grid.
